Hi!I'm kinda new here, please treat me nicelyI have this cheap headphones for over a year now. It still works perfectly before I tried using a usb 7.1 sound card adapter to my laptop.

My headphones has a TRRS jack. I mainly use the headphones for listening to music on my android phone.

But today I tried to use it for gaming on my laptop. My laptop only has an audio in, and no mic in. So I bought the usb sound card that I mentioned earlier and also a splitter.

I plugged my headphone to the splitter and the splitter to their corresponding jacks on the usb sound card. And it works perfectly fine, the sounds work and the mic also works. Then I tested a few games (csgo, dirty bomb, and paladins) to make sure the mic really does work. And yes, other players hear me.

So the mic really does work with the usb sound card. And now after I'm done playing, I turned off my laptop and then unplugged the usb sound card and the jacks attached into it.

Used my headphones again on my android phone to watch some youtube videos, and now the sound coming from the headphones is a bit muffled. The voices on the videos are too low but the background music is a bit fine but sometimes distorted. Then I got back to my laptop to test the headphone if it was just my phone or not. I plugged it in the audio jack (not using the usb sound card), and the sound is also the same like on my phone. I then tried again using the usb sound card, and then the sound is normal. I tried again without using the splitter (I plugged in only the headphone jack to the usb sound card) and yes it still sounds normal.I guess the usb sound card changed something to my headphones.I also checked the drivers, but no luck. The problem still occurs.I hope someone helps me with my problem.P.S My english is a bit bad, sorry 'bout that.

One of the most common problems with Windows 10 is no sound. Particularly immediately after upgrading from a previous version of Windows. So if you’re experiencing this problem, rest assured, you’re not alone.

More importantly, it’s usually a pretty easy problem to resolve. Here are three simple fixes you can try. You don’t necessarily have to try them all.

Just start at the top of the list and work your way down.Method 1: Check cable and volumesIf you don’t hear sound from your external audio devices, like speakers and headphones, you can check if their cable is broken. You can plug them to in another computer and see if they work in another computer. If they work in another computer, the problem is probably caused by the cable. If the audio device has been muted, you won’t hear sound from it. Check if your speaker or headphone has been muted by accident. Method 2: Check your speaker settings. Right-click the sound icon at the bottom right corner of your desktop and click Playback devices. In the Playback tab, ensure there’s a green tick on Speakers.

This indicates that your speakers are the default playback device. If your Speakers are NOT already set as the default, this is doubtless your problem. To fix, just click them, click Set Default, then click OK and test whether you have sound. If your Speakers are set as the default playback device, and you’re still not hearing any sound, you should experiment with different sound formats. To do this, click Speakers then Properties. Go to the Advanced tab, and in the Default Format section, select a different sample rate and bit depth, then click Test. Repeat this process until you find a format that works, then click OK. If you don’t find a format that works, proceed to below.Method 3: Uninstall your audio driverIf your sound driver has somehow been removed, corrupted or become incompatible with Windows 10, you won’t be able to hear any sound from your speakers.
